The Writing Process

"How long do you prepare or research before you start writing a book?"

P:

To say 'how long it takes to prepare' is a complicated thing. Coming up with a story is not hard for me. But, perfecting it, takes time. And when it comes to researching... well, I normally do it while I write.

On Emotions

"Off late romance novels are mostly centered on sex than love. Are your works on the same line?"

P:

No. My works are mostly based on emotions. I don't believe love is all about sex. I think love is more about emotions. You can be in a relation without sex, but you cannot be in a relation without emotions.

Inspiration

"Who's your favorite author and how did their work inspire you?"

P:

Charles Dickens and JK Rowling. Both of their writings have unique charm. Charles Dickens is an amazing narrator—I still remember the wine scene in 'A Tale of Two Cities' vividly. JK Rowling is the reason I started writing novels; she made me dream.

Characters

"How did you come up with a character like Aryan who even today lingers in hearts?"

P:

Well, I'm madly in love with Aryan too! It took me months to get over him after finishing the novel. He just materialized in my mind as I started writing.
